Every week we will each give five or more players that we think are good players to pick up. Here are this weeks' picks.
Adam:
Brandon Gibson WR, Rams: With Danny Amendola out with an injury, it's Gibson's time to shine. It also helps that the Rams are playing the measly Dolphins pass defense this week.
Jeremy Kerley WR, Jets: He's been a surprise standout in the Jets' offense. As long as he has Mark Sanchez, not Tim Tebow, delivering him the ball, he should continue to do well.
Mikel Leshoure RB, Lions: After missing a lot of playing time with a knee injury, Leshoure exploded for 19 points in his return. Although last week he didn't have the best game, expect him to pick up his production again.
Kevin Kolb QB, Cardinals: In weeks 2,3 and 4, Kolb scored at least 15 points. Last week his production went down, but this week the Cards play the terrible pass defense of the Bills. It also helps that he's throwing to Larry Fitzgerald.
Tony Gonzalez TE, Falcons: Almost every week this year, Gonzalez has produced big numbers for the Falcons. Against the weak Raiders pass defense this week, expect those huge numbers to continue.
Vikings D/ST: The Vikings were projected to finish in the cellar of the NFC North, but surprisingly, they are in contention. Their defense has helped in this surprising run, they have scored the third most points for defenses so far this season.
Theo:
Davone Bess WR, Dolphins: Almost everyone has noticed Brian Hartline, Bess' fellow Dolphin. but they haven't noticed Bess. Davone is fairly consistent and easily can pick up 100+ yards in this week's match-up with the Rams.
Greg Zuerlein K, Rams: Greg is a rookie kicker with a big leg. He has hit from 60 yards in a game with the Seahawks. Fellow rookie kicker Blair Walsh is also a good option.
Javid Best RB, Lions: Javid had a standout season two years ago. With the Lions not having a certain RB, it's his turn to get the full time job.
Rashard Mendenhall RB, Steelers: Mendenhall is fully healed and ready to go. He showed that he is ready in his last game with a 100+ yard game and a TD. Expect him to be this way through the whole season.
Micheal Crabtree WR, 49ers: Micheal never really blossomed since he joined the NFL but I think now is the time. Alex Smith is a good QB so he'll have plenty of catches, TDs, and yards.
